Spessartine on Smoky Quartz Cabinet Specimen, Guang Dong Province, China- $400  *SOLD*
A DRAMATIC, 10.6 x 5.5 x 4.0cm cabinet specimen showing a series of 2.5 to 3.0cm freestanding, gem smoky quartz crystals studded with gem, mirror-lustrous, orange-red spessartines!  These quartz crystals protrude well from the contrasting granite host rock matrix (the back of the matrix is sawed).  The garnets range from 2 to 4mm and are unusually gemmy and bright!  Many more brilliant spessartines occur on feldspar crystals and the matrix itself, surrounding the smokies.  This specimen is perfect, minus a tiny ding on one of the quartz tips.  This piece is MUCH showier in person and is guaranteed to please!  Order Here
